This rug is a bold landscape in pure form: fields of deep green, sun-ochre, terracotta, and off-white wool form an abstract, topographic scene. It evokes the Algerian steppe, valleys, dune ridges, or even a satellite view of the land — a meeting point between nature and design.
Fellah means peasant or cultivator in Arabic — a word that carries deep roots and care for land. This rug is a tribute to the earth: its shapes and tones resemble a patchwork of green valleys, clay hills, and sunlit plains seen from above or remembered through touch. Handwoven in southern Algeria by a women’s cooperative using 100% local wool, Fellah is a thick, textured celebration of terrain, labor, and quiet beauty. Each field of color is knotted by hand — no two pieces alike.
Soft, textured, and made in limited quantities, each piece supports traditional craftsmanship and ethical production.
