Mamali Shafahi’s Hereditary Fountain merges technology, mythology, and personal history, translating ancestral narratives into futuristic forms. The flocked epoxy surface gives the sculpture a velvety, surreal quality, blurring the line between organic and artificial, past and future. Evocative of ritualistic objects, the piece explores the transfer of knowledge, memory, and identity across generations, making it both a physical and conceptual relic of human inheritance.
